Delete your account
You can delete your HelloMyNameIs account yourself, from inside the app, in a few taps. Everything attached to it goes with it.
In the app
- Open the app and go to Me.
- Choose Account & privacy.
- Choose Delete my account and confirm.
Deletion takes effect immediately. It cannot be undone.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email support@hellomynameis.io from the address you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm and delete it within 30 days. If you signed in with Apple or Google, tell us which, so we can find the right account.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in identifier
- Your first name, avatar and preferences
- Your visibility settings and any invitations you received
- Messages you exchanged with companies
- If you used the app as an employer: your company profile, open door history and invitations you sent
What may be kept, and for how long
Nothing from your profile. Anonymous technical logs that cannot be traced to you are kept for up to 90 days. If we are legally required to keep a specific record, we keep only that record and only for as long as the law requires.
Not deleting, just stepping back?
You do not have to delete your account to disappear. Under Me you can switch off “Visible to companies”, pause discovery, or turn off invitations, and come back whenever you like. See the privacy policy for what each setting does.
